Please enjoy today’s Tea Talk with **[Renée Camila](https://www.reneecamila.com/)** and **[Sam Roberts](http://homeandhearthherbs.com/)**, co-founders of [Now and Then Herb School](https://www.nowandthenherbschool.com/) and co-producers of the [Planting Medicine](https://kpfa.org/program/planting-medicine) podcast and radio show on 94.1 KPFA! The Now and Then Herb School focuses on guiding modern herbalism to old magic within a social justice framework.

🌻 [Renée Camila](https://www.reneecamila.com/) is the daughter of Nicaraguan immigrants, and she is dedicated to the empowerment and healing offered by ancestral medicines through a decolonial lens. Her practice draws from her Mediterranean and Indigenous (Chorotega) ancestry and includes nearly a decade of clinical energetic herbalism, traditional birthwork, and folk education.

🪻[Sam Roberts](http://homeandhearthherbs.com/) is a gay, white, non-binary triple virgo living on unceded S'Klallam land on the northern Olympic Peninsula. Sam is a practicing energetic herbalist, medicine maker, educator and plant tender with over two decades of experience working with herbal medicine to tend to the health and healing of clients and community. Using herbs, plant spirit medicine, nutrition, and ritual Sam works to steward their clients back to health, vitality, center and a sense of belonging within the world.

**Renée, Sam, and Jiling discuss:**

- How herbalism is ancestral medicine
- Decolonizing herbalism
- Courting plants as people
- Intentionally building relationships with more-than-human beings— or, magic.
- Hear stories about rose, oats, rosemary, and more in our inspiring conversation!
