Geoffrey “Geo” Edwards is an educator and healing artist whose practice encompasses herbalism, gardening, community acupuncture and art therapy. He owns Grain & Pestle, an herb apothecary and clinic in Detroit, MI. Geo facilitates workshops and plant walks on topics ranging from ecology, the Five Elements, and moxibustion to creative writing and art-as-social action.

Geo and Jiling discuss okra, catalpa, mulberry, and more food-as-medicine trees and other botanicals that inspire Geo’s work bridging garden and apothecary, clinic and ceramics, and African American herbalism and Chinese medicine traditions.
