7Song is an herbalist, teacher and naturalist residing in Ithaca, NY. He is the director and main instructor at the [Northeast School of Botanical Medicine](http://7song.com/) and is a founding member and clinical herbalist at the [Ithaca Free Clinic](https://ithacahealth.org/). His passion for herbalism translates into free clinic work, first aid, wildcrafting, and botany. He also spends a lot of time photographing things that run, crawl, fly or photosynthesize, as seen on his gorgeous [social media](https://www.facebook.com/sevensong.sevensong) pages.

In this episode of Tea Talks with Jiling on Herbal Radio, we discuss why herbal medicine is important in our contemporary world. 7song explores the role and function of a clinical herbalist in an integrated free clinic and some of the challenges therein. Between running the school and clinic, 7song continues to prioritize wildcrafting and botanical identification, and shares the importance of both. After 25 years of running the [Northeast School of Botanical Medicine](http://7song.com/), we learn what’s next for 7Song.
